Tree Update

I made a new branch texture and added it to the trees for some variation. I also created a new bark texture and used an overlay to make some trees look like they still have some bark on them. Here are some pics.

  6. Excellent work on the trees, David! Now take a look at the base of the trees - add some roots to at least one tree. Build the roots like you did the branches. You can also add bushes to hide how abruptly the trees meet the ground. Another technique is to color the bark at the base a similar color to the ground so it blends better with the grass, and add alpha at the bottom. This would mean making an alternative bark texture that matches on edges with the existing in terms of pattern and color at it's top edge, then gradually changes in color to more green as it nears the base, then turns more transparent just above the ground.
